After water damage in our bedroom and dressing room, we contacted Anne Shirtliff from Kalley Flooring and Carpets to give us a quote for replacing the carpeting. Anne arrived within 2 days with carpet samples and to take measurements. It wasn’t an easy area to measure up as there are lots of corners and bends but Anne was meticulous in her measurements and to ensure that there were no unnecessary joins.
We received the quote within a day which we needed for insurance and once we had chosen the carpeting and colour, she went out of her way to drop off larger pieces of the colour and similar colours to make sure we got a better idea and were making the right decision.
Once we booked the installation, there were 3 delays due to our carpenter contractors but Anne managed to shuffle things around. Abdul and 2 assistants arrived promptly on the Friday to instal, they were quiet and got on with their work, liaised with Speed Heat for the underfloor heating between the felt and carpeting and were out within a few hours. Anne came on the same day to check everything was going well. She also took an off-cut, measured it and is having it overlocked for us to put at the sliding door leading outside.
One thing that would have been nice was if they re-attached the skirting boards and vacuumed the carpets afterwards as a part of their service.
Overall, a really great professional and prompt service.
